Biography and commentary:

Raul Rekow is the official percussionist of Carlos Santana (American guitarist and singer, pioneer of rock with Cuban sounding, which has already received 13 Grammy Awards) almost since his beginnings (1976, "Festival Album "). Like many of today's virtuoso of congas, he played with 5 tuned congas and is a master of the palm-fingers, melodic, improvised and polyrhythmic playing. At ease in all contexts (rock, jazz, salsa, samba, etc.) but nevertheless having a consummate traditional percussive Culture, he forms a perfect pair with the timbalero Karl Perazzo. There are instructional videos with Raul, notably with Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez, who accompanied him on the "Supernatural" album (1999), which received a Grammy Award.
